Snap-on, or open, seals may be used with all
tensioners except pusher type and magazine fed
tools. Seals are placed on the overlapping strap
ends before or after tensioning. The easiest of seals
to use, they facilitate faster strapping of packages
since there is no need to pre-thread.

Pusher type, or overlap, seals require
pre-threading. They are used with duckbill or pusher
bar tensioners, thus are generally used for irregular
shaped packages. As the tool pushes against the
seal the strap is tensioned.

Magazine type seals are interlocked into clips and
automatically fed from the magazine of a
combination tool.
|

Semi-open seals are snap-ons designed for heavy
duty applications. The closed leg hooks over the
strap as the seal is placed on the overlapping strap
ends.

Thread on, or closed, seals may be used with all
tools except pusher type and magazine fed
tensioners. Typically used on heavy duty
applications, this seal is pre-threaded on the
overlapping strap ends before the strap is tensioned.
They are excellent for use on narrow operating
surfaces, on bales or bundles, or where it is desirable
to form a loop with the seal holding the strap.
